The Little Egypt Amateur Radio Society is the Amatuer Radio Club of the Benton, Illinois
area. We currently meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm,
at the Franklin Hospital in Benton [map]. Visitors are always welcome. Click here to request driving directions or

Our VHF repeater is
located at the Southern end of Rend
Lake, just outside of Benton IL
on the frequency pairs of 146.8050 / 146.2050 MHz, 88.5. (A PL tone is
now required)
We conduct our
weekly Net Meetings on the LEARS VHF repeater every Monday evening
beginning with a broadcast of the ARRL Newsline at 8:30 pm, followed by
roll call and check ins at 9:00 pm. All licensed amateurs are welcome and
encouraged to check in. A current schedule of Net Control Operators can
